A bitch was going to be sacrificed along with her sisters for being of pit bull race. They were found in a forest and nobody knows exactly how they got there, there was no trace of their mother and it was curious that they survived in total abandonment with so few weeks of life.
They were three puppies, one was named Sunshine and caused more curiosity to see that he was probably born without a part of his front leg.
The officers of Henry County Animal Care and Control in Georgia, United States, were the ones who found the puppies and took them immediately to the shelter, but not to take care of them, but to sacrifice them in three days. If nobody came to his rescue, that's what they do when they find a pit bull dog abandoned.
Jason Flatt, a member of the animal rescue organization Friends to the Forlorn Pitbull Rescue, said:
"Basically, if a pit bull is found like a stray dog, they take him to the shelter for three days. And after that, euthanasia arrives. "
Friends to the Forlorn Pitbull Rescue helps pit bulls in complex situations, so when the rescuers realized what was happening, they did not hesitate to go in search of Sunshine and her sisters (Krissy and Nugget).
After being rescued, these three sisters were handed over to a passing home thanks to a statement made by Jason Flatt.
Sunshine, also known as Sunny, she has a great peculiarity, apparently was born without a part of his front leg, but this does not stop him from constantly striving to get to walk with her and show their sympathy."We do not know if it's a birth defect. We do not know if it was cut. It's hard to say. "
Flatt took the beautiful Sunny to a veterinarian and he immediately thought that the best thing for her would be to start with a prosthesis for her leg and equipped her with a flexible splint. Sunny went out with great enthusiasm to walk and quickly joined her.
"She made it incredible."
Sunny will have to change her prosthesis four times as she finishes her growth process.
"You can not just set up a prosthesis because it's still growing. Basically, every two months, they will re-assemble a new prosthesis in it. "
